12/22
Abbigail felt like Blake needed more to eat and she kept handing him more spuds, but he doesn't have a very good pincher grasp. I guess some times I forget how advanced Abbigail is. As soon as she started eating, I couldn't feed her, she had to do it herself. She never really ate baby food, since that was something *I* had to give to her, she went straight to finger foods. She has the fine motor skills to do so though, she had a great pincher grasp.

Abbigail saw Santa yesterday. We walked by and there was NO LINE! I asked her if she wanted to see Santa and she said yes. I wasn't going to force her if she didn't want to. The lady asked if we wanted to get pictures and I said possibly, if she cooperated. I wasn't going to pay $20 for a picture if she wasn't happy. I couldn't believe how much they wanted for pictures either! I don't know what the Santa-etiquette is... if I could have just pulled out my camera and snapped a picture or not.
She wasn't having it though, the lady was pushy and I really don't blame her for not wanting to talk to some strange guy in a red suit. The lady then convinced me to sit on Santa's lap with her to take a picture. She also tried to get Jeremy to but there was no way in hell going to do it.
The picture was ehhh... not bad, I'd prefer not to be in it, and I really didn't want to pay $20 bucks for some silly picture. I guess now I can say we did it. My Mom kept bothering me about it and I told her I wasn't going to do anything she didn't want to. She was fine the whole time in line until we got right there.
She did persuade me to put .75 cents into the Arthur bus, for a full minute of fun. She was a pretty decent shopper, only whined a few times.

My night last night consisted of dealing with Abbigail throwing up over and over again. Jeremy made her a milk bottle and laid her on the couch. A little while after she went to sleep, she woke up puking everywhere. YUCK! I don't do puke real well, luckily Jeremy does. Poor little girl was sooo tired she didn't even want to sit up to finish puking. She kept trying to lay back down and swallow her puke YUCK!!!!
After this incident, I believe she puked 4 or 5 more times. We left her on the couch, and I slept on the living room floor which killed my back. At one point, she was on the floor next to me and woke up puking again. Got that cleaned up, and woke up a few hours later and I decided to move to bed. I took her with me, laying blankets and towels out. She ended up puking again, once in my hands, since she dirtied all the towels. Catching throw-up in my hands, is not fun!
She's been fine today though. Except for saying I'm going to puke, and then pretending to throw up. The first time I thought she was serious, so I brought her a puke bucket, but every time we go to do something today, she tells me to hold on she has to puke.
No more MILK for HER!!!!

This morning Abbigail was nursing her Elmo doll. She unzipped her jammies and put Elmo against her chest. It's really odd some of the things she comes up with. She hasn't nursed in almost a year, but still must have memories of it. The last time Jeremy's brother was here with his son, Abbigail saw him nursing.
It amazes me the things that she remembers. Like today she was looking at a book with pictures of kittens in it. She saw a picture with an all gray kitten in it, and she said "That's like the cats Grandma had the other day" She remembered back to this summer when my Grandma's cat had kittens for a second time.
11/22
Abbigail is such a little smarty pants, she amazes me and cracks me up everyday!
Today we went out to feed the cats (our cat had kittens and we couldn't find anyone to take them and the mama wouldn't stop pissing on the floor so she and 4 of the babies live outside, Calli lives inside, she freaked when I put her outside). Abbigail went and pet each cat and I asked her how many cats there were and she said "one, two, three, four, five, six; six cats" Which was correct
While we were in Walgreens today, my Mom asked her how many trees there were and she pointed to each of them without saying anything and then she looked at my Mom and said "There's 3 trees" which was also correct.
She also was trying to get everyone in Walgreens to buy candy. We were in the candy aisle and she kept saying "you want some candy" to everyone that walked by. My usually shy girl was very outgoing today, unless someone talked to her first.
We got home and I put some of this eczema cream on her leg I bought at Walgreens. Her leg has started to look really bad lately. Well I guess before this we had just got home and her Uncle Steven was here and she decided to be shy. I sat her on the table while I unloaded the groceries and somehow she fell off the table, knocking the chair over with her on her way down. She was upset so I decided to put the medicine on her and get her ready for bed, she looked at me and told me she was tired. She knew it, I knew it. She woke up at 7.
She started crying more after I put the medicine on her, I don't know if it stung or if she was just tired. she said she wanted her other lotion on it. I had Jeremy give me the neosporin and told her to lift her leg so I could put it on. She lifted her "good" leg. I told her no it was her other leg and she insisted I put it on her "good" leg. I did and she stopped crying right away.
It was odd, but whatever makes her happy.

Abbigail knows how to pedal her little Barbie Trike my brother got her for her 2nd birthday!
I think this mostly means that her legs are now long enough to reach the pedals.
I just randomly looked over and saw her pedaling around the room.
So Yay! for her
11/14: Abby and Elmo
We went to the mall to see Abby Cadabby. Who was very scary. The line was so long when we got there. We went and did some other things while we waited for the line to die down. When it was short, we finally went to see Abby and Elmo. Abbigail got scared right when we got up there, and so I had to be in the picture with her. You can see from the picture how scary they were and how scared she looks!

Mister Noodle.... MISTER NOOOOOODDDDDDDDDLE.
That's what I'm hearing right now. Abbigail is running around the house saying it.
So far she's doing great about going potty. I took off her pull-up when she woke up this morning and she's been running to the big potty whenever she needs to go.
My little daredevil child also realized that if she pushes a chair to the counter, climbs onto the counter and then onto the microwave she can get things off the top of the fridge. There goes that hiding place. I think I'm going to have to chain the chairs to the table or something...
She also knows that if she can't reach something she can just stack up pillows from the couch until she can reach.
Yesterday she fell though from the fireplace trying to get something off the shelf and hit her face on the bricks. She has a nice purple/blue circle on her cheek.
"Chipmunk" Nov. 5th
I thought my blog posts were being posted after I put them in OneNote, but I guess not....
Here's one from November 5th
My 2 year old is a monster!
Everyone says "Just make her listen, you're her Mom". Well you know what? It's not that easy.
I think we're going to have to call Super Nanny on her and good ole Jo Frost will show up and tell me "I don't even know what to do with your daughter, none of my bag of tricks will work on her" She'll try to put her on the "naughty spot" and Abbigail will look at her and say "I don't want to sit down Chipmunk!"
Yes Chipmunk. I believe this is her form of cussing. She says this when she gets mad at me.
Today at least she has done pretty well at potty training.

Kitties, Water, and Birthday Parties
From 2009-08-23 |
From 2009-08-23 |
Last week she went to the river twice, both times falling asleep on the drive there. She wasn't too interested in getting in the water, but enjoyed getting her feet wet and playing in the sand with her sand pail and shovel and Tonka trucks. Everytime the jet boats came by she joined the other kids in chanting "Go fast, Go fast" She wasn't too happy though when one of the boats did decide to go fast, and soaked her.
Yesterday she went to our friend Justin's son's 3rd Birthday party. She loved the park it was at because it had water that shot up out of the ground. She was soaking wet within minutes of being there! She tried to take all of her clothes off, but I told her she couldn't. We finally compromised and she took off her (heavy) jean capris, and stayed in her Pull-up.
[Speaking of which she has had some really good days when she runs over to her potty to poop, but she still prefers to pee on the floor, generally on the boy's carpet]
She had a lot of other kids to play with and had a blast! Nana came and got her towards the end of the party since she hadn't seen her in over a week.

Here's a picture with her and the birthday boy Kaden. (although she told Nana that she went to a little girls birthday party)

Catwoman
I think Abbigail has become Dr. Doolittle. She will not leave the poor baby kitties alone. She now climbs all the way under the crib with them. Last night she scared me, as I couldn't find her anywhere. I can usually see a foot or two hanging out from the crib and I couldn't last night. I finally found her and went to help her out from under the crib.
When she sat up she choked, and I hit her on the back and she spit out 6 pennies and a dime. Now I know that she had money, she walks around the house and steals it out of our pockets, my purse or my backpack. She usually just puts it in her purse (or any other container she can find to put money in) or puts in under the glass of the coffee table.
I've only previously seen money in her mouth once or twice, she generally just plays with it. From now on I'm going to make sure that the money stays put away!
After this little incident, we brought the kittens out into the living room. The cats all clung to Abbigail, as you can see in this picture. I think she has become a crazy cat lady at age 2.
Also, check out the pj's Abbigail decided she was going to wear. It's her brother Corban's brown dinosaur shirt. She also had to have a necklace on (to still be girly)

Abbigail and the Tiny Kitties
No matter how many times I tell her she continues to go and "steal" baby kitties. If she's not doing that she's under the crib laying with (or on) the kittens. Today I caught her with a kitten for about the 20th time and she knew I was in trouble when I went in there, she covered her face, thinking that I couldn't see her. She then tried to change the subject and said she wanted to watch "Little Bear"

Plastic Up Her Nose
She was in the other room with the kids while I was making dinner and she started to cry. I assumed that the kids had done something to her, so I went in to check on her. She stuck her finger up her nose and I told Jeremy that she was getting tired (she tends to pick her nose when it's bedtime, don't ask me why), since she hadn't taken a nap. She continued to whine and I asked her if she wanted to go see the baby kitties. Once again she touched the outside of her nose and whined. I decided to look to see what was the matter, and there it was, a piece of white plastic. I freaked out and started looking for tweezers. when I cleaned the bathroom on Saturday I was sure I had found several pairs, but in my panic moment I could find none. Jeremy ended up finding a very small pair of scissors and thankfully got it out (all while I was searching for tweezers)
After it was removed she wanted to go find her tiny baby kitties...
Every morning she wakes up to find the baby kitties. This morning they were not in the closet they were the night before, so she went and looked in the boys' closet, but no baby kitties. She finally found them under our bed. Abbigail-- being the animal lover she is -- decided that the Mama Kitty needed some food, and put her food bowl under the bed with her. She also brought her almost empty bowl of water into the kitchen so that I could fill it up with fresh water.
We are going to have to lift the bed again and pull the kitties out so she can see them. She can't wait until they are big enough that she can hold them!

Baby Kitties
Our cat had kittens Saturday afternoon (in the middle of Zachary's bed!) and Abbigail is thrilled. She loves the kittens and wants to look at them all day long. It's been difficult to keep her away from them. The mama cat has moved them several times, but Abbigail always ends up finding them. Currently they are in the closet in our bedroom, but this morning when we had woke up she had moved them to the boys room instead.
Abbigail jumped out of bed this morning and went straight to the closet to see the "tiny babies" and they weren't there. This made her very sad. I took her in the boys' room and showed her where the Mama kitty had moved them to. She was thrilled, but them didn't want to leave them alone. I finally had to move them back to our closet so I could shut the door and keep them safe from Abbigail's loving hands. When I went to move the kittens, I could only reach 4 out of the 5 since the one was eating it's breakfast. I put the 4 in the closet and came back to find the last kitten (little blackie) sitting on the boys' floor with the Mama next to it meowing. It turns out that Abbigail was trying to be helpful and picked up the kitten (or strangled it according to the boys).
The kitties are now safe and sound in my bedroom closet with the door closed. Abbigail begs me to go in and see them (and we already have numerous times today). I told her that she needs to wait until they are bigger, and then she can play with them just like Grandma's kitties!
