Kitties, Water, and Birthday Parties

Abbigail is in love with all of her baby kitties. She walks around the house with them in her arms, she even pushed one around the kitchen in her toy train while singing the song it plays. She picks them up when they are "crying" and tells them "It's okay, I love you angel" and then proceeds to hold their heads so she can look into their faces.

Last week she went to the river twice, both times falling asleep on the drive there. She wasn't too interested in getting in the water, but enjoyed getting her feet wet and playing in the sand with her sand pail and shovel and Tonka trucks. Everytime the jet boats came by she joined the other kids in chanting "Go fast, Go fast" She wasn't too happy though when one of the boats did decide to go fast, and soaked her.

Yesterday she went to our friend Justin's son's 3rd Birthday party. She loved the park it was at because it had water that shot up out of the ground. She was soaking wet within minutes of being there! She tried to take all of her clothes off, but I told her she couldn't. We finally compromised and she took off her (heavy) jean capris, and stayed in her Pull-up.
[Speaking of which she has had some really good days when she runs over to her potty to poop, but she still prefers to pee on the floor, generally on the boy's carpet]
She had a lot of other kids to play with and had a blast! Nana came and got her towards the end of the party since she hadn't seen her in over a week.

Here's a picture with her and the birthday boy Kaden. (although she told Nana that she went to a little girls birthday party)

Camping Day Two: Bandon Game Park

From 2009-08-13 coast vacation
On the drive from Brookings to Bandon, I turn around and see this!!!! She refuses to keep her seatbelt on in her carseat. No matter how tight I strap her in, she ends up like this, I think she may be related to Houdini! With her shirt over her head she began singing a song too, some random song that she made up.

Day One of Camping

From August Coast Camping Trip
Here are some pictures from our first day of our camping trip to Harris Beach. Abbigail was infatuated with the sand. We walked down the beach and every time I turned around she was far behind us playing in the sand.

She decided that she was BIG and could climb rocks too, just like her Daddy and her brothers. About this time she decided she was stuck and needed help down.

Catwoman

I think Abbigail has become Dr. Doolittle. She will not leave the poor baby kitties alone. She now climbs all the way under the crib with them. Last night she scared me, as I couldn't find her anywhere. I can usually see a foot or two hanging out from the crib and I couldn't last night. I finally found her and went to help her out from under the crib.

When she sat up she choked, and I hit her on the back and she spit out 6 pennies and a dime. Now I know that she had money, she walks around the house and steals it out of our pockets, my purse or my backpack. She usually just puts it in her purse (or any other container she can find to put money in) or puts in under the glass of the coffee table.

I've only previously seen money in her mouth once or twice, she generally just plays with it. From now on I'm going to make sure that the money stays put away!

After this little incident, we brought the kittens out into the living room. The cats all clung to Abbigail, as you can see in this picture. I think she has become a crazy cat lady at age 2.

Also, check out the pj's Abbigail decided she was going to wear. It's her brother Corban's brown dinosaur shirt. She also had to have a necklace on (to still be girly)

Abbigail and the Tiny Kitties

Abbigail refuses to leave the baby kitties alone now. They are going to have to be moved very soon. She leaves my sight for one second and I hear a baby crying, and she had gone under the crib, picked one up and placed it on Bethany's bed.

No matter how many times I tell her she continues to go and "steal" baby kitties. If she's not doing that she's under the crib laying with (or on) the kittens. Today I caught her with a kitten for about the 20th time and she knew I was in trouble when I went in there, she covered her face, thinking that I couldn't see her. She then tried to change the subject and said she wanted to watch "Little Bear"

Baby Kitties: 2 weeks old

Posted by Picasa
Here are 4 out of 5 of my "tiny" baby kitties. [From left to right: Emma, Tiger, Sherbert, and Callie, not pictured Blackie] I get excited now that they are getting bigger. They come out from under the crib to play with me. I like when they fight with eachother. I try to pick them up even though I know "I can't pick them up"
